About The Blog:
This blog is about anything that I find interesting that is linked – however tenuously – with zoos. I’ll be putting up news, talking about some of the zoos I’ve visited and hope to visit, and various other bits and pieces as they occur to me. This blog is generally zoo-positive, although I’m not going to mince words if there’s something I dislike about the way a zoo is keeping its animals or treating its guests. Also, since I’m a librarian, there’ll probably be some zoo library related stuff going up to. I can be very opinionated about things but I like to think I can be reasoned with, so if you disagree with me, that’s fine, just be polite about it please!
I’m not making any promises about how often this blog will be updated. I’m currently writing an 18,000 word dissertation for my masters, and after that I’ll be working, and hopefully having some kind of social life. I do have a lot of ideas about what I’d like to talk about, though, so there will always be new things going up.
About Me:
I’m 24, and I’ve just finished the taught part of my MA in Library and Information Management. As well as zoos, I like libraries (duh), exploring new places and spending time with Ric. I love to cook and try out new recipes. I’m a member of the Bat Conservation Trust. I come from Guernsey, where there are no zoos, but there is a pretty good aquarium. I can’t pick a favourite animal but my least favourite is the spider. I’m not fond of sharing personal information on the internet
